TIME REQUIREMENT FOR VACUUM FORMING

Another outstanding characteristic of C.A.B. Sheet is its ease and speed
with which it can be formed. The ease of forming C.A.B. can really only be
appreciated by first hand experience with the material, but measurements
have been made comparing the speed of forming with that of another material which is used for similar products and applications in the table below.

Forced cooling is entirely satisfactory for cooling formed C.A.B. Sheet.
Normally forced cooling of formed acrylic sheet is not used because of the
possibility of cracking the formed part. Forced cooling of C.A.B. Sheet
can reduce the overall forming cycle by as much as 25 percent based upon
the application.
